I apologise, I misspoke. I was only thinking about the context of my response to the other poster. I believe what they actually stated was that all areas of the map, that is - religions and cultures - would be playable. Not all types of government.
Any chance for Islam to be included, whether in the main game or in a DLC? Shi 'ism is often ignored in many games, and Islam was greatly represented in CK2. Thanks

Maybe you should give Stellaris a try and play a transhumanist Human empire to work out this feelings of yours.

This is my concern too. Paradox picked up a huge amount of flak for doing this from EU3- EU4. They added new things with the next game, but half or more of the expansion features were missing.
Though I am looking forward to seeing what this new CK game will be like.

Henrik has reached out to RPS and given a statement. They have NOT decided against using that term in the game, but says they haven't decided either way yet. If a term is used, it is because it makes sense in the context.

I understand there was (retroactively or not) a miscommunication about banning the phrase "Deus Vult".
Assuming it will be banned, I'm displeased with the decision by Paradox, but I understand they have to address this problematic practice by neo-nazis and fascist somehow.
They can't just look the other way and I fully understand they want to distance themselves from those nazis. Since if they don't address it might make the game itself toxic! That is a scenario, I assume, we all want to avoid. The only question is if this particular course of action is the optimal one. I'm not sure though.
But, 'count to ten will you?' I tell to all who are getting unbelievable upset about the removal of merely 2 words that most likely will be replaced by the phrase "God wills it" which is, by the way, noob friendlier.
So does it irritate me? Absolutely, it does. Since this doesn't happen in a vacuum. The last period companies seem increasingly eager to appease Social Justice Warriors and when they don't fall over eachother to soothe SJWs, they fall heads over heels backwards for China and I wonder when exactly will social conservatives get their turn to be accommodated?
I just think you guys are overdoing it. We get your point. You start to become repetitive and why can't you take your culture war somewhere else? You just destroy the fun and excitement for everybody else. Nothing is perfect in life and some of us are indeed capable to see the glass as half full.

Last I checked, DEUS VULT memes were enjoyed and disliked by everybody equally, be they Christians, wanna-be pagans, LARPER's, Muslims, Buddhists, and all the others alike.

well the thing is, if you let something MAJOR like Deus Vult pass into the naughty words, it means SJW types and journalists desperate for clicks only get more bold and demand for more banned naughty words. And if us, the real fans, don't put our collective foot down now, its only our fault that few development cycles forwards we hear that "A Crusade for Jerusalem" is turned into "A C-Word for J-Location" because saying C-Word is racist, and J-location is some type of -phobic or Anti-tism, Kotaku said so, so it must be true.
not to mention last I checked Deus Vult ain't even an Alt-right thing, or a Nazi thing for that matter. but... as said hundreds of times in such a short time. a religious term much alike "allah is merciful" for Muslims. AND, a meme that had a popularity surge in recent years by stuff like For Honor where, a Western European knight slaps a Samurai with a broadsword.
And before that, it was mostly Sabaton song related meme. And I doubt anyone here can call Sabaton a Nazi-band.
