All I ask is that I not be required to build a zillion garrison divisions w/ MPs to occupy large amounts of conquered territory. Make that a slider or something. "Anti-partisan/Occupational Forces need"... which increases as you take land, etc.

More warfighting. Less focus on putting MPs all over the whole flippin' map.

I think that majority of people here are agree that garrison mission should be assigned to normal division, although the light one, which should not be the problem since new divisional structure is being implemented in HOI3.
Thus, there is no need for special "garrison" unit, a la HOI2.

Any normal division and then lower its organizational level to represent its dispersion around a province.

So if you put an infantry unit on garrison duty you half it organizational level but you have lower partisan activity. If subsequently that province (worse case scenario) or a neighboring province did fall to partisans you can take your unit off garrison duty and allow its organizational level to rise again before you attack.

The type of unit used would be up to the player, in areas that you expected high partisan activity or there was the possibility of lets say a sea invasion you may choose armor units but the choice would be the players.
