Spain has never formed in any of my games...but Britain tends to show up more often than not.

I just haven't had the time to play a lot of games, but I've seen Great Britian form fairly often in my relatively limited experience. I played Castille and formed Spain in one of my games, but otherwise I've only seen them once, in my current game as Ming. Since I'm on the other side of the world, I wasn't really paying attention, so I'm not sure how it occurred. I think that Castille probably inherited Aragon, but I'm not sure.
How about Germany forming up? I've seen quite a few German states grow very large (primarily Hessen and Mecklenburg), but no Germany thus far for me.

That sounds quite odd, how did they get rich enoguh to colonise? A nice change from the usual situation of how many different countries can own bits of Ireland?redox said:

Only countries I've ever seen form are GB and Netherlands but the Netherlands don't really count as they can be created as both revolters and as part of a peace treaty. I've seen Spain got fairly close but no cigar. The Russia states always seem to get overrun by various Mongol Khanates and Lithuania and in the few games where Muscowy actually does good, it usually expands into Asia Minor or something equally strange.
Everybody is mentioning that Great Britain forms most frequently but I have yet to see it. How/when do they usually form? Do they just pick up the area of the British Isles?
Basically, Great Britian can form once England take over the Scottish provinces that have Lowlands culture. That's the short answer. There's a longer answer, if you want it, check the event files.
