Hello fellow Stellaris enthusiasts!

With 2.2.2 upon us the base game is arguably better than ever! But im here to remind you not primarily of this, or even how much more moddable the game has become, but of how the moddability can be used to underline some of the games greatest assets, while correcting some of its most glarring flaws!

Personally i want my games to be as close to the unmodded developer vision as possible, i just want the AI to give me a challange without cheating so much, and if i must apply or make mods to achieve this, i want to do that without having to ”brake the game” in the process. (Before 2.2 this was much of what ai mods did)

Having personally put together an AI mod (DECAI) for 2.0 -2.1 in the past, i know the limits we had to work with before...

After 2.2, we can program AI-empires budgeting of all resources as well as their building preferences. This, combined with the market mechanics and the overall increased depth of economic considerations, open a lot of doors for an AI modder!

I want to reach out to fellow modders as well as enthusiasts to help me brainstorm around this, test this, and have fun along the way!

Join the discord server ”Alternate Timelines”
then load up 2.2.2 with (or without?) your AI mod of choice and either share your own year 0 save with a screencap/description, or load up someone elses year 0 save! Play the game and share your experince as you go!** (Or just let the AI simulation run on its own with dashboard comands ”observe” and ”ticks_per_turn”)

I set a discord server up for a similar purpose a few months back. I have repurposed that for this occation. We’ll keep it free form and fun above all. We can do some multiplayer later if things go well, but for now i just want to share some galactic contexts in 2.2! Share YOUR year 0 save!

I will publish my fresh 2.2 adaptation of my AI mod DECAI tomorrow, but play & share whatever.
; vanilla saves, Glavius-mod saves or whatever. We can even use the same year 0 saves with different mods enabled!

Will i see you on discord?! Welcome!
