Dear Diary,

I am writing this in a house on Fishable Street (ew) in Dublin! Yes Dublin! I'm so totally a city girl now.

Dublin is totally much bigger than Cork and everyone speaks this really strange language called 'English', which totally makes them difficult to understand and all, I'm mean like omigod why you just, like, speak normally or something?

So we (Una and me) got here in the morning and we were allowed to spend the day exploring before class starts tommorrow morning.

Dublin Bay. Bitchin or what?

So we wandered around flirting a bit with cyute boys. Like, hello, we're totally distant exotic type princesses so of course they're going to notice us. So yeah we had a lot of fun and the Liffey is nice (but not as nice as the Lee! Go Cork!) and we got to see Dublin Castle, which totally the place were the hated English, like, rule from with an iron fist you know? So we bought postcards and t-shirts and stuff only I totally lost mine and I'm going to have to borrow Una's (t-shirt, not postcards. Like duh!). So yeah it was a great day.

15th century Dublin as Caoimhe would have seen it... were she really, REALLY, tall. Or could fly or something.

Like I'm kinda tired right now and I have to get up early for registration so I'll totally see you later.

Dear Diary,

Ow. My brain hurts.

So, like, school started today. Me and Una are going to St. Aoife's College For Young Princessess (don't let the name fool you, we are like totally open to girls from as low a background as daughter of a baron). It's big and old and scary and totally run by nuns who are little and old and scary. Still it's like totally cool getting to hang out with all the other girls and talking about stuff. Because y'know sometimes adults are like so braindead about important stuff like boys and fashions and some junk. You know?

So there I was being like totally the centre of everything, totally being the King's daughter and all, when in walks this other girl. She's kinda pretty if you like that dark, girly, petite, brunette thing... wait, I've just remembered I'm totally dark, girly, petite and brunette, so yeah I guess she is pretty. Anyone so I've been talking to this way cute boy from St. Tadc's College For Young Noblemen next door (and I totally know what you are thinking, like how did cousin Tadc ever become a saint and some junk? Well it turns out there was totally another Tadc who lived in a barrel until he got boiled in oil, like a gazillion years ago and the school is named after him. Like I know, confusing or what?) and she totally smooches him right in front of me like he's her boyfriend or something. And even, I was totally just talking.

But you know, I'm totally polite and all that so I introduce myself and she's all like: "Oh you're an O'Donnell" and you can like totally here the italics in her voice and she tells we aren't a real Royal Family like her's are. And then she like totally introduces herself as Sorcha O'Neill, Countess of Tyrconnell, Princess of Ulster. And I'm like I thought we Princessess are suppossed to stick together!

So anyway it's pretty obvious that she's like totally the most popular girl in the school, with best hair and shoes and stuff and she's going to try and make my life Hell because she's an O'Neil and they are like mad snobby and consider all the other Irish royals like peasants or something. And so then I totally have a brilliant idea that I said to Una. "Like all the most popular girls here play camogie* so I should like totally join the team and become like best player and some junk, I mean like I was pretty good back home."

So we totally sign up and I'm looking at the list and suddenly realise that guess who is team captain?

Oh alright, it was Sorcha!!!!!! So I'm like totally going to have to face her on the field of battle or something soon. Like, bring it on!

Owwie my brain still hurts after all the homework we were given, it isn't used to working this hard. Must sleep now.
