England
1527 - 1548
The Merchant Adventures
The second part of the magnificent government of His Majesty, King Henry VIII Tudor, was characterized of sudden changes of the vision of how England should manage to build a prosperous and powerful country. Henry had the best view about the Economic path that England has been walking during these last 50 years, all the reformations designed by our King and put on actions by his excellent Ministers, have been focused only in the development of the Trade Capacity of England.
The second Stage of the Royal Tudor Refinery Complex in Bristol was completed in 1527
In order to keep on pace of the competitive world outside, Henry had put to work a program where our Industry would be ahead of the rest of the world, so our products can place themselves everywhere as the best products. Also, our merchants have prove that they can manage to keep their business running anywhere in Europe. Part of this program is the ambitious plan called Royal Tudor Refinery Complex, these is a plan where in various districts in the country our King will build Refineries and Industries to improve the Quality of our Products and our Merchants capacity of gaining business abroad.
Given our delicate situation where our country is mostly Naval Minded, our beloved King authorized the creation of the Royal Admiralty approving the Royal Naval Act I in March of 1530. Rapidly, using this Act as a Command from the King, the Governor of London started to build the Great Royal Shipyard of Anglia and the Royal Market of His Majesty at the Port of our Capitol City. These two Projects have the same goal; improve our potential as a Merchant and Naval Country, where our main strength is the control of the Sea.
Our Royal Market has immediately become the main center of trade of the North-West of Europe, decaying the market of Flanders; London can now monopolize our production and the distribution of our fine products. One aspect is that the appearing of our market has also brought the complete decay of the ancient market of Lisbon.
Finally, the Scottish Parliament tired of the awful government of their King, James V; signed the destitution of the latter to give the crown to Henry VIII Tudor, given the fact that this was agreed by James IV and Henry VII after the Celtic War at the end of the last Century. In 1531, Henry VIII was crowned the rightful King of Scotland in Edinburgh. This way, English kings are now kings of the entire territories in the islands, uniting the territories under the command of Henry VIII and his successors.
Along with the wonderful news coming from Scotland, was the passing in 1536, of the Welsh Act of Union, which proclaim the complete and solemn Union of this territory into the Crown of England. Until then, Wales was an outside territory of England, now, Wales will be a real part of our Noble Country and the Title of Duchy of Wales will now belong to the Heir of the Crown.
Even though that in the first part of Henry VIII's government, England monopolized the colonization and the conquest of the North side of America; two crowns have also claim their rights in these lands, Sweden and France. Our King understood that a peaceful division of these territories will be so much better in order to keep the peace that has characterized the way of how England treats with the rest of the countries in Europe.
Finally in 1527, Henry VIII agreed with his Swedish and French counterparts a fair division of North America. England will take the more favor climate regions as being New York the center of the territory claimed as New England; and Sweden and France will peacefully compete for the rest of the territory. This way, England sold some little trading posts that where outside our claimed area, to France, in 1531.
Even though Henry VIII Tudor was a champion of the Catholicism and the only King who can claim the noble title of Defender of the Faith, the church in England was being eaten by a dark group of clergyman who gradually had destroyed it. These "men of religion" were the ones that were designated specifically by the Pope himself, nobody in England could do anything about, but everyone was witnessing the decaying of the faith.
Act of Supremacy
At this stage, Henry VIII and England couldn't handle it anymore, and in 1534, our King passed the Solemn Act of Supremacy. This Act took away the control of the English Church to the Corrupt Pope and give it to our King and the Archbishop of Canterbury. Even though our King didn't want the church of England to go to the Protestant side, the stupid opposition made by the Pope by Excommunicating our King, he decided that our faith can have parts of the Protestant Reforms.
This conversion of the English Faith has carried a reduction of the once excellent relation with Spain, canceling the Defensive Alliance right after. But thank God, it hasn't been an argument for a war with our still friends. Also, this has opened our country the doors of the courts in Berlin and Stockholm. With these two countries, England have made agreements that have guaranteed the good relation between these two great protestant powers and us. Along with our improvement of the relations with the powers of the Baltic Sea, in 1539 Henry VIII had renewed the friendship with the Great Eastern Power, the Big Bear, Russia.
During the winter of January of 1547, Henry VIII the Great, died in his bed at the Palace of Whitehall. Shortly after his passing away, his son, at the kind age of 10 years, was crowned with the name of Edward IV. Even though the sadness of everyone in England, the hopes has been transfered to this little boy, who is hoped to can carry our country the same way his father did.
Henry VIII Tudor (Jun 28, 1491 - Jan 28, 1547), King of England, King of Scotland, King of Ireland, Lord of New England. Called the Great, managed to give England a Superior Status
To resume the government of Henry the Great, will be just impossible. England has become one of the most important countries in Europe, competing their way to get into the collage of desires and dreams. The path that Henry VII draw to England has been improved by his son Henry VIII, and has build a country that can now see outward and stand whatever opposition we can find in our way to building an Empire.
God save the King
