However, since they are overpowered, we are giving to nations random leaders to try to avoid a 6/6/6 fight against a 2/2/2 leader, this would be bad... Also will force ppl to use leaders wisely.

We did this in AtE2, I mean, using not capped leaders, and it worked fine, actual EU2 uber leaders were used (perhaps not always wisely) and random ones weren't as good as them, but it maintain certain balance between nations.

Also, if HG is leaving what'll be our roster?

Now I don't know, I really want a Portugal and I know GM too , perhaps an AI-SWE in the worst scenario? and after that getting some compensations... it's sad that HoG have changed his mind... especially so quickly... I wish I could understand his decision, really...

Also 2, I am COMPLETELY against postpone the session.

Me too, this way this MP would never start if we keep postponing even the first session.... come on!.. I haven't played EU2-MP for more than a week .. it's too much for me ....

Nah, we put offlimits Sweden -got one week to look for a player there- and we can edit them later for bad AI perfomance.

Actually, offlimits AI Sweden can be very annoying for Russia (they really like to DOW).

But Gaius really want to play Portugal and Eli could be a good England so no problem there.

I'd prefer to take swe than eng if it comes down to it, and eng can survive a week AI you dont do anything the first session anyways

Kind of funny we have a portugal and not an England... Make me remember mine and arco's discussion about number of players we should have to a healthy MP game at this time we play ATE.

I still dont see a problem to NOT have Portugal until we fit English seat. EVERY MP games does this way: Only make minor nations selectable after the Majors one are taken. I know it sucks to not play the nation you want to. I wanted France since ATE1 but TG didnt give it to me, but even this way I played and with joy.

The thing is clear: we NEED England, we DONT need Portugal. Simple. So plz Gaius, play England and we'll be all happy

EDIT: the more nations we have, the more ppl we have. The more ppl we have more personal RL problems we have. The more personal real life problems we have the more Subs we need.

Just one thing: This time we are playing a MOD. If find subs for us has been always very HARD, because of our particulary time (1am GMT), imagine find subs at this very time playing this MOD! It'd be very hard, since they need the mod to play.

Gaius will not be happy. I had not read anything by him that we could play anything else but Portugal.

And anyway, my first EU2 MP game got a Venice and a Portugal and we didn't have a Muscowy (or a Brandenburg). It was a blast anyway.

Although, as always, I'm against random leaders in historical games (for reasons I've expressed so many times in a small minority that it's not worth the space to put down here). The generator you're using was indeed written by Shigure and myself (in a non-coding position ), but it was for use in our random games.

At any rate, even with the cap the chances of my being able to play tonight are virtually zero. I really think it's insensible, even with Cas' insisting, to play on the evening of Valentine's Day. Some of us do have girlfriends and wives and they've got to come first.

Well, we have 2 players atm that can't play tonight (I have postponed my valentine celebrations to this weekend due to excessive tireness of both parties involved ), and as Cas has pointed out, finding subs would be too difficult. Having them AIed and offlimits would be somewhat disturbing... so... what should we do?.. gather tonight and play the ones that are showing up? postponed this session (again)? play a Nappy with this new map?

I was thinking this game started when the old ATE did, that being six o'clock my time. I've confirmed with TG that it starts at five now.

My girlfriend lives in Palo Alto. She's driving down when her classes are done and we have open reservations. As soon as she gets here and takes a shower, we're out the door.

So if you insist on playing tonight, I can be here at 5:00 and do whatever part of the session I can manage, with the understanding that when I gotta go, I gotta go.

I would prefer, of corse, for everybody's mental well-being, that you postponed it another week, this being a holiday afterall.

huh? Valetine's day is a yankey invention. i don't celebrate first world crappy days of consumption. So, I expect we play today, or I'll have to reconsider my participation as well.

I can play tonight. I've struck a deal on the basis that driving all the way down here for one dinner and having to drive all the way back tomorrow morning doesn't make any sense, and she'll be exhausted. So now I'm spending the weekend at a Bed and Breakfast.

Maybe we could replace the whole roster, so that we can adapt to the situation. It's quite clear our community is getting small, so this will return to 1.05 times when only majors were taken.

We could have no Portugal, and no Sweden, at least for the first session. or permanently, i don't really mind. if Eli doesn't want to take England, i suggest we replace us all inmediatly in the following countries:

England
France
Spain
Ottoman Empire
Austria
Russia
Brandenburg *(Sweden is boring, let's bring a good and viable BB to the game, and if we have 6 players, i'd suggest we discard BB as well)

One thing, HoG have mentioned an option of reducing forts in Scandinavia, Russia and Lithuania from small to minimal and medium to small. This will encourage fight in that poor supplied areas.
