American War of Independence help!

I'm playing as the Americans and somewhat holding my own, but I can't get Spain or France to come to my aid. The year now is 1778 and still nothing! The Brits are still bringing boat loads of military and I can't keep it going for much longer as my stability is wavering (-2) and the people are starting to complain.

I gave both countries military access.

Any help would sure be nice...

The best thing to do is to start sacking Brit colonies left and right and accept the first reasonable peace deal they fire at you, even if its a white peace. Its not like you can convert it to Vicky anyways.

I have been fighting my tail off, gaining ground then losing some. Back and forth, but the only peace deal they offered in four years has been something like me keeping four states. No White Peace deal, not even close. They just keep hauling ship loads of military in and it goes on and on!

Fortify the hell out of everything, keep roving armies of cavalry close to every British stack so you can get into a defensive position if they try to sack another province without a fort (annoys the hell outta me) and make sure you keep Ah-nuld in charge of the main army. He pwnz.

Alright... Another observation. I started another game using the same campaign (American War) and chose Spain so I can observe how the AI plays it. In the 1rst year America has a truce with Britain!!!!! How in the heck can that be?!

There was even a more recent post on this very topic, wonder how that didn't strike the eye first.

But to answer the question. Keep still and wait; if you survive the initial years, Spain and or France will declare war on Britain later or sooner.
