European epidemics should ravage New World

I've often thought that there should be an event when a new world pagan nation first has contact with Europe (or Asia) they should lose about 1/3 of their population (and armies?) due to epidemic diseases and possibly suffer a major hit to their military morale for a few years. It's a bummer, but it did happen...

On the other hand, I don't necessarily think their tech levels should be so low for so long- perhaps converting should boost their tech levels...

I agree there should be some events that lower the native populations like in real life with smallpox and the other things the Euros introuced. They do have random plague events so why not have events for this?
