A question about Ambras castle, at level 3 it has two defensiveness modifiers,
+25% Local defensiveness as Province modifiers and also as Area modifiers
Does this mean that if i have a fort in Inntal instead of Etschtal (where it begins for Austria). i'll have +50% (plus the usual mountain one) ? or only one of those applies?
So should i (for a defensiveness point of view) move the fort there? (i like to cover most of my land with forts area of control, even if it might or might not be the ideal choice)

The Local Defensiveness boost will increase the time between siege ticks in that specific province.

The Area Defensiveness boost will increase the time between siege ticks for every province in that area.

However they do not stack.

It says
Owned Provinces in area:
Local Defensiveness
Is that the same as Area Defensiveness or is that yet an other thing.
If they do not stack (and if i go up to lvl3) does that mean that i can have Eschtal or Inntal, and the resultat is the same ?

Actually, it looks to me like the two +25% modifiers stack if you put the fort in the same province as Ambras Castle:

Two +25 modifiers in the province with Ambras Castle (renamed from Echtsal to Valle d'Inn due to Italian culture?):

Only one +25 modifier in Trento:

Okay, I was wrong.

That doesn't make any logical or grammatical sense, but that's a nice trick to know.

It does make sense, to me at least:
  • Province modifiers: +25% Local defensiveness
  • Area modifiers: +25% Local defensiveness
So, you get +25% for every province in the area (including this province) and +25% for this province in particular.

Compare with the next one in the list, Aït Benhaddou, which only gets +25% in local area - ie. every province in the area, including the province with the great project, gets +25%.
