Ambitions in your games

Has the number of ambitions radically dropped?

I normally do not wed my Councilors because I wait for them to get the "get married" ambition and then marry them in order to give them the bonus.

Now...nobody seems to ever want anything at all? After 5 years?

And it's also like that across the known world, apparently.

The get married, have son/daughter, specific council job ambitions were removed. The middle one was replaced with Groom A Heir and council has a single, all-encompassing ambition that does not raise stats. The one to gather 500 gold was replaced with a title-tier-scaling one.

So there's no Ger married anymore?

Are most locked for barons? I'm playing as a Patrician and can just get Paragon of Virtue and the Exalted, as well as "Become King".

Feudals get the "Build a War Chest" ambition which allows you to squeeze your vassals for cash, not sure if anyone else gets it as I haven't played enough post-TRD yet.

To be fair, "Get Married" was kind of a cheap way of getting Prestige.

It is a bit weird that one way to earn favours is to fulfil ambitions of councillors (there's even a loading screen tip mentioning it), yet we're now left with very few ambitions that you as liege can actually complete for them.

To be fair, "Get Married" was kind of a cheap way of getting Prestige.

I've never used it for prestige, but for improving relations with subjects.

10 prestige is nothing. It's not that cheap; it would be if you could marry a 1,000 times with no consequence.
