So I'm playing along in Ricky, minding my own business as your typical, liberal, immigrant-flush Uruguay, when what should happen but some political instability, a successful war against the Dutch, and a few well-placed ideologues turn my little southern US into a Falangist fascist dictatorship in 1924.

Considering WWI hasn't happened yet because Austria was able to punch Russia around in the Balkans without French interference, still tsarist Russia learned its lesson and allied with the French even if they are liberal democrats, liberal Germany and the UK have pulled out far ahead of the pack in prestige and industry, and my militarized Uruguay - which started beating up on the Africans ahead of the majors thanks to a successful war against the just-blooded France, and helped rationalize holdings at the Berlin Conference thanks to their overly-trusting patrons the Brits - just pulled even with the 52-state, isolationist US in population and industry. . .

I was thinking this could make a fun HOI scenario and AAR as people try to throw back the Latin menace or recreate the Spanish empire instead of the normal Nazi issues. Playing still-unified Germany as a good guy seems especially amusing.

Problematic since I don't have the game atm (& they just announced MkIII :D) - but I was just curious if there was interest by anyone else in the converted save file after I reach 1936 & if so what you guys would like the world to look like at that point.

The ingame choice would be to attack Germany and the UK to bring their scores down to my level, but that wouldn't leave much for y'all to do, and it's more likely the fascists would start by cleaning up their own backyard. At the moment, the two Uruguayan homelands are divided by Brazil, and vast but vastly unpopulated Argentina keeps sending socialist rebels over the border. That both are already satellites/puppets really wouldn't get in their way, I'd think. Plus there's still the canal and Cuba to wrest from the US.

Because North-up is an arbitrary cartographical system perpetuated by the vile imperialist powers, all of which are in the Northern hemisphere, and to accept it is to accept imperialist domination over the mighty Uruguayan state. Or something like that. ^_^

I find this actually very interesting. I had a similar game playing as Chile and created a greater Andean Republic, i wanted to convert the save over to HOI2, but the South America Provinces are simply too few it would make for an uninteresting game. I really hope that some of those 10,000 provinces in HOI3 make it to South America.

Maybe I could PM you about some of the work I've already completed? (I was working on a mod based on that Savegame until the HOI3 announcement.)

i'd like to know, as a guy who's only played one proper game of victoria, how you made uruguay so good. but i'd also say it'd be good to see a mod of it.

excuseme but what do you mean with takers? :x

As I said, I don't have HOI2 yet. So I was asking if anyone would be interested in continuing my game for me, and if so what direction they'd enjoy my going in.
