Speaking of alternative history, I have been watching "The Man in the High Castle" on Amazon Prime. I think themes are very reminsce of the outcomes of many AAR's.

I wonder if Paradox will be throwing in an abundance of realistic alternative history outcomes. For example, possibility if the Axis players manage this result if they beat the United States?

link removed - Had a dad

Also, will there be more "post-war" developments? Such as Factions swapping/disbanding, so if the Germans and Japanese won, they could end up changing to different factions, so the game can "continue"

The game only runs to 1948. It's a World War Two simulator, and doesn't go deep into the impacts of the war...

I think it covering some of the cold war too would be nice. If I remember correctly, HoI3 tech wise went up to 1980's. Otherwise it can be a little disatifying as one of the big issues I had was with HoI3 was no real way to win or resolve the new world order. The game handled the actual winning/losing terribly.

So having it with Cold War, tensions being high, etc, could prepare and do a world war 3.

That map looks really unrealistic, but it is alternative history and no swastikas allowed it is against the rules. Paradox won't make these, they develop historical games not alternative history mods, that is what the workshop is for.

The Man in High Castle is a Phillip K Dick meditation on the nature of fiction and reality that does not represent even a remotely plausible alternate history of the world. Alternate histories involving "what if the Nazis won" should not be of the type where they literally pulled of an insane world conquest by 1947 using videogame-like exploits. They should be more like "The Nazis control Europe" (The Fatherland concept is more realistic here, with the Nazis fighting an endless war against partisan soviet forces in the East and settled into a Cold War between the US and German Reich). The Nazis successfully invading USA is about as plausible as MarcoAntonio's Albania-conquers-the-world youtube series.

Bah humbug, wasn't intentional. Sorry dad.

As for alternative history, it was that the Germans developed the bomb before the Americans did and used it on Washington DC, etc. This led to the initial surrender by the United States and the Germans decided not to hold back and incorporate it into the Reich. Either way, this is a possible outcome of this game and people did such in the previous titles.

In real life, Germany quit their atomic project by early war, after deeming that it had no long-term benefits that would hasten the end of the war.

When they realized how incredibly wrong they were, they tried to scramble and start it back up in late '44 if I recall correctly, but it was far too late by then.

Does this apply to only in relation to Nazi Germany or as a religious (Hinduism, Buddhism, etc) symbol or both?
I don't think that's really a question that needs to be asked. The Hinduism, Buddhism religion that uses the symbol wouldn't have a place in the HOI 4 forum anyway.

Not entirely true, it's one of the largest prolific religions. Granted HoI4 is not a religion simulator, nor have I seen instances where it plays a major role within HoI games. The historical and actual significance can not be ignored totally. But I was curious.

But yes, overall I see your point.
