Is there any chance of us getting to play with alternative economic policies in Victoria 3? For example, Georgism was a fairly popular movement at its peak and it's imaginable some states could have actually tried to implement it, while it would allow for interesting and different economic gameplay. And given that Georgism is recently getting a resurgence in popularity and public awareness, I'm sure many players would appreciate the option. Having other unusual options like adopting the Austrian economic school or whatever else would generally greatly benefit the diversity of playstyles, given the economic focus of the game.

Though it would be understandable if those alternative economic policies will be DLC content.

There is an Economic System law, which has a major role in determining what the government can do to influence the economy, from tariffs to subsidies.

Economic System: Mercantilism, Free Trade, Traditionalism, Isolationism, Agrarianism, Command Economy

There's also a variety of production methods, determining who owns the factories:

Production Method: Privately Owned, Merchant Guild, Publicly Traded, Government Run, Worker Cooperative

There are a bunch of other laws that can be changed, including Welfare, Healthcare, Income Tax, Labor Rights, and Education.

Finally, there are several institutions that you can devote your bureaucracy to, including education, workplace safety, and social security.

As you can see, there's a great deal of flexibility in designing how an economy will work. I don't believe that there's Georgian in the game or a Land Tax law. You should suggest it to the developers. It sounds appropriate to the game
