The Yorkist monarch list supplied in the Feb. 28th beta contains the historical Dukes of York. I personally would feel happier with having their monarchs being the descendents of the house of York. I have therefore begun to create an alternate monarch file.
In order to stop the Tudors from inheriting via Henry VII's marriage to Elizabeth of York I have decided that Titulus Regius (the act bastardizing Edward IV's children) remains in force after the death of King Richard. The descent therefore passes down through Clarence's children. I have numbered the monarchs as though this line had gained the English thrown at the beginning of the game, thus Richard of York is Richard III, Richard of Gloucester is Richard IV and the first Henry is Henry VI.
Unfortunately, I cannot trace the descent past 1762 so I might have to get fictional. Also I have only given new stats to Edmund of March, Richard of York, Edward of Warwick and Cardinal Reginald Pole. If any one has a fair methodology for statting up historical nobodies I would welcome the help.
