So I was wondering weather anyone out there had any fun/successful attempts at alternative or unorthodox gameplay styles with Paradox's strategy games (EUIII,V2,HoI3, etc).
What I mean by this, is that I once played a V2 game with the aim of making Prussia form Germany and become a Great Power, only I didn't play Prussia. Instead I would play peripheral countries, or, if a country went to war with Prussia I would play as a neighbor of that country and DoW her to help Prussia.
Now, I wasn't very successful, and I gave up half way through, but it got me thinking, if others have tried something like this, or some other strange way of playing and got more out of it?
