Alt+Tab Question

I have a question about Alt+Tabbing. In all the other (newer engine) Paradox games, the game continues to run (time continues to pass) when you Alt+Tab. In Darkest Hour, the game effectively pauses when you Alt+Tab. Is this an Europa engine limitation? I actually like that the game continues to run in the background. Is there anything I can do to change this for Darkest Hour (I suppose I could try playing in windowed mode but I usually play fullscreen)?

not sure if this will work with DH so back up and make a copy of the DH full folder in mods and then try it!
