Hej everyone,

please find here my suggestions for a National Idea set for Alsace. It is time that all countries get their own set of ideas and some events. @Paland0 started already a great collection of HRE NIs and flavor and I would like to further contribute.
I included more ideas as I couldn't decide which ones fit best. Please feel free to do the cherry picking ;)

National Ideas Alsace

Traditions:

Domestic Trade Power: +10% (As the bridge between the Holy Roman Empire and France we are in a strong position to control trade)

Alsatian Wine: Production Efficiency +10% (Vineyards are covering our hills and our wine is a proudly cherished specialty)

Ideas:

1) Silberthal / Val d’Argent: +10% National Tax Modifier (The mines at the border to Lorraine guaranteed a steady source of income)

2) Zehnstädtebund / Décapole: +1 Diplomat (This alliance allows us to defend our privileges. Let us make good use of it)

3) Land of Castles: +20% Fort Defense (The Vosges and the Rhine Valley are protected by our great and many castles)

4) “Von Deutscher Baukunst”: -10% construction cost (Goethe was inspired by our cathedral to write this praise about architecture. Let us profit from this reputation)

5) The highest building of the known world: +1 yearly prestige (For over two centuries our cathedral was the highest building of the known world)
// or alternatively +1 yearly Papal Influence (close to heaven. We have the highest church tower in the Christian world)

6)
a) Confessio Tetrapolitana / Reformation in Strasbourg: +1 Tolerance of Heretics (Alsace was among the first provinces in the HRE to welcome the protestant faith)

b) Counter Reformation: +1 Missionary Strength (After early gains for the heretic faith, the Catholic build Jesuit monasteries to get back the lost souls)

c) Counter Reformation: +10% Moral of Armies (The Catholic faith won the conflict over the Strasbourg cathedral chapter against the protestant heretics after violent unrests)

7)
a) Straßburger Universität: -10% Idea Cost (Our university was a center of Humanism and attracted brilliant minds such as Goethe)

b) Gutenberg in Strasbourg: + 10% Institution Spread / -5% Technology Cost (Gutenberg spend many years working and researching in Strasbourg and left the legacy of the printing press)

Ambition:

+1 Max Promoted Cultures (We always benefitted from both, our German heritage as well as from the great French culture and ideas)

In addition I would love to see this achievement in game:

Achievement:

The first Christmas Tree: As Alsace, own at least 20 (or X) provinces producing wood and have the Christmas Islands as a core. -- Rovaniemi as the "home of Santa Claus" could also be added.

Flavor / Events
I will try to add more flavor over the upcoming weeks. You are very welcome to contribute ;)

Here are my suggestions for events and flavor for Alsace* :)

*These are taking historical events of the whole Alsace region (as the borders in EUIV) into account and are not only focusing on the actually from the Bishop controlled lands. As in my opinion the tag is representing more than just the bishops lands, other parts of the land should also be included. The tricky part with Alsace is though, that most of it lands were divided in small entities, many belonging to Habsburg, but also to other powers. Thus a coherent picture is sometimes hard to draw. My suggestions are focusing on the in-game borders of Alsace.

** Some ideas need some rework and twisting. Please do not hesitate to comment and propose changes :)
