So, I'm playing as the US and am planning to declare war on Denmark with the Place in the sun CB. Denmark is in the sphere of influence of the North German Confederation and allied to them only. The North German Confederation is allied to the UK as well as Denmark. Is it possible for the UK to get involved in this war?

Unless you personally declare war on the NGF, the UK should not get involved.

Technically they are able to, but the AI will never call allies into such a war.
