So, I'm going through yet another underwhelming 2nd phase of the game in this "Age of Reformation" where the Centers of Reformation apparently have radio stations in the 16th Century to broadcast their message of Reformation, because of the way the game portrays these Centers and the random spread in varying provinces that "catch on" to a new religion and embrace it.
So.....why can't I hire a Missionary to work AGAINST the conversion process ongoing in a Province where it is attempting to be spread to? If I have the spare Missionary, and I'm willing to pay the Ducats, please explain why that missionary can't go counter the reformation (literally) at the local level? Seems like an "obvious" capability that should be in this game, yes?
I'm a bit struck by the fact that simply being "in range" of a Center of Reformation means your province can suddenly start to grow this "bar of faith" as they slowly convert to the New Religion, and you as a player can only sit there and watch it grow(?) -- I just don't get it, why did the Dev's even show that bar as a slow-growth bar, if they're not going to provide you as a gamer with options to strategize and button-click your way into blocking that spread? May as well just insta-convert the province, because it's like watching a wounded animal die slowly as it squeals and yelps. What's the point?
Paradox Dev's, c'mon, this one is too obvious, too logical, you need to implement a way to COUNTER the Reformation, literally, at the local level, and at a cost. What's the point of being a gamer in this era - to be a spectator? C'mon guys, give gamers options, just like you gave an option for your Subscriptions - I can join in, or I can counter, right?
