Right now offensive and defensive calls to war are very unequal. In offensive ones u can check what u are missing for allies to help u out and fix it so they actually help you but in defensive it's almost impossible to keep it always in mind cause u cant even check it in one place. So if your ally takes a loan or two and all of a sudden is not willing to defend you - you wouldn't even know about it until it's to late.
I can see this issue fixed by actually opening negotiation window where u can spend your favors to increase their trust or pay some or all of their loans if they are in debt so they can actually defend you as allies should do instead of them just denying call to arms and letting you on your own.
And overall there should be a menu somewhere with this information and options so u can keep an eye on your allies wiliness to defend u and plan your actions accordingly.
