It has been brought up a few times that allies do not have much incentive or in assisting in wars. This is even more apparent since the fort system came into place since an ally won't develop a meaningful warscore without taking forts. An ally (or the player) can assist in CBs such as show superiority by winning the majority of the battles (the actual score that helps the wargoal), but will not get *anything* in score that can be bargained with the enemy leader. The player can of course fight to save their ally, which is all fine, but it comes at more cost than gain.
One suggestion is to give a bonus to allies who answer call to arms. The bonuses would only affect actual assisting in wars, such as prestige from battles, army tradition gain and an extra prestige gain for staying in the war until the conclusion. I have also seen suggestions about sharing an income pool from demanding ducats, which wouldn't be that great considering the low treasuries of most nations.
Anybody else have any good ideas that actually would give incentive to assist in a war? Wars at the moment are way too one sided in gains for the leaders.
