Doing a Savoy run and decided I'd press the Occitania mission tree before Burgundian or Italian, and just...

...look at this! I used to get absolutely cucked out of any land whatsoever, but Burgundy are being absolute chads this run. Maybe there's always been the potential for this but it feels like the AI have gotten a lot more fair in dividing up spoils. Can't wait to betray AI burgundy when I've sufficiently snowballed.

The AI almost always gives you stuff you have claims on in my experience. Which occasionally gets you killed because they don't take AE into account at all when giving it to you.

The AI is much more willing to give you land that you have claims on, and won't give you land you have not set as being of interest (which claims do automatically too).

Since they usually avoid getting too much AE, countries in areas where that is a problem are more likely to have 'leftover' warscore to use on giving you your claims.

Even when they hate you!
Recent experience: I learn that Vijayanagar plans to attack Bhamania - both hate me (-200 relations, outraged). I warn Vijayanagar, they attack. We win the war (I siege everything), Bahmania takes nothing for him (except war rep), but returns 3 provinces to my vassal Madurai and gives me 3 other provinces.

Yes weakening your primary rival to strengthen your secondary rival with return cores

another little tidbit; if you manage to block your allies from getting too many occupations (to the point you are cutting them from making cores) they tend to be more inclined to give you land e.g. they will take the 2 provinces you let them siege and give you 8 provinces (provided warscore is high enough)

i may have explained this poorly but it works i swear
