So I was playing Greece and going down Metaxas and the historical path for the Albania achievment. The Allied was doing nothing to really kill of Germany, I as Greece pushed Germany and all balkan countries out of the war. The ai should at least help sometimes, but all they do is eat supply.
I have the feeling, that ai is not able to understand supply. They can and will not move out of a zone with 0 supply. (Not 0 ofc but like 12 or so) And if you move your frontline they suddenly push like lol ok so I dont need to be here god it.
Also they dont use their planes if you push. At least you dont get the information. I killed over 4 million axis troops as friggin Greece. I mean yeah what. In the same time UK and US lost that... I had less than 800k(Mostly because of bad supply and German airforce).

What happend then was that I only had 10 percent war participation did not kill enough greec people right? I freed Moscovy. (The soviet was holding barley in Caucasus and Leningrad and Swastopol once ROmania was out put pushed vichy and italy out of Africa. Ok ai you go. In the peace POland evene lost all the land in the east and Italy was soviet puppet same with romania and Hungary and parts of bulgaria. He did not hold any German terretory and Italian. Whilst I hold Moscocv... (got parts of Bulgaria and German states, thats all lol I had also nuke should have used them on my allies)

Next point Italy in Africa seems to always win now because of how supply got changed to local supply. Change it back makes 0 sense that Italy conqueres Africa out of Ethophia like were do they get supply from...

I would strongly advise paradox to change the way supply works and most importanly how the ai behaves in an alliance. This is not just an issue with the allies but also axis or any alliance with several ais. Supply should be important in this game even more so than it is now. Supply should also be influenced by you setting supply routes and in the beginning should be medicore and the efficency of this route should increase over time. (Spies or doctrines should be able to influence them like Russia did with the Germans in the east).

The ai on the other hand should learn that stacking a billion units in norway doesnt help them. But that spreading out would rather help or learn how to redistribute units to important key areas with supply or where units are needed. All ais is able to do on both sides is deathstacking and pushing if they fell they have a chance.

Also another issue atm is how Japan gets a free pass to do anything they want in the pacific. Have at least some units in British Raj and Australia.

How do you fell about this? (sry for it being so long just was a pain to go to 1946)

strongly agree

right now the ai has no understanding of logistics or supply, and will dump as many divisions it can produce onto a front regardless of whether or not they can sustain those units.

it leads into a viscous late game cycle, where the enemy divisions are under supplied and completely valueless due to the massive attrition they suffer from overcrowding eating all their equipment.

it also leads to the scenario you outlined, where you simply cannot push against a inferior enemy due to the massive attrition and combat penalty you suffer due to allied overcrowding.

the ai need to start decision making ina much more complex way. Instead of Just aiming to make as many divisions as possible and putting them around the world Willy nilly , they should take into account these factors:

can i afford to make new divisions? Do I have enough equipment?
can I put those divisions there? Will they be undersupplied if I do? If so, where should I build infrastructure/ ports?
do I need to put divisons there? Are my allies already putting divisions there? Can that land support my Divisions as well?
do I need new divisions? Are my frontlines Covered? If so, should I begin to upgrade my divisions?
a lot of decision making for the ai, however necessary to make it much more challenging.

alternatively, the devs may just decide to completely retail logistics to make the ai more competent (see rail lines for example)
