Just two things I have thought about while waiting for the patch.

I am guessing we will not be allowed to have allied victories in the multiplayer, at this early stage at least (I could be very wrong of course), but that we will be able to form them in-game. I don’t know how it works at the moment in SP but I hope one can’t go from allied to at war in one turn. I hope if you declare war on an ally then you can’t actually attack for a few turns or something, otherwise it would be too open to back stabbing, right? At the very least have their units thrown out of your borders.

That makes me think about the borders too. If you are at peace but they can just walk through your land without any problem and then declare war like you can at present then that is also a major issue I would have thought. Hopefully this has already been changed for MP.

Though as Warlock is much more a war game than Civ5 some of the problems may not be so serious as I'd guess there will be less manoeuvring and more straight-out war.

On spell casting, it seems being able to see what the other mages are casting all the time as soon as you have met them is a bit too powerful, or at the very least might benefit from some alteration.
Perhaps have what is being cast hidden by default but allow the research of various spells of differing strength throughout the game which reveal what enemy casters are doing for 5 turns, 10 turns and then indefinitely but with very high maintenance costs. This could be directed at individual casters or for all mages.
Or perhaps you could have it as it is now but allow mages to cast spells to hide what they are casting for differing amounts of turns.

A penny for your thoughts…

Yeah, I agree on the "confuscate" (sp?) spell... suggested it before too :)
Great for casting spells like Agile Mind, or just messing with your opponents mind, casting only cheap spells having them waste their counterspell...

yeah, just like having to use spies in Civ to find out important things about the opposition I think a similar thing can be done here with spells. Just seems too easy to access the important information otherwise.
