I think it would be handy for two extra sorting buttons:
1. Diplomacy Screen: You can sort the coutries by Axis, Comintern etc It would be nice to have one burron for your own alliance. When I play Nat China, I have to scroll around to find and initiate diplomatic entreaties. Be nice to have a button and the list of my alliance members is there.
2. A sort on the Leaders of function combined with their skill...ie all LT gen with function 3 at the top or soemthing. Saves me scrolling around a long list trying to find the lvl 3 LT's in the bunch of 2.
