alliance leader can't boot alliance members, USA can't join Axis?

Not sure if this is an enhancement or a bug,

I was playing a MP game last night as Germany and allied with Poland. Later I wanted to boot them out of the alliance to split them up with the USSR (evil back stabber I know) but there is no "kick out of alliance" button. Seems like this should be there, especially when playing MP.

Secondly, the USA (human) wanted to join the Axis after a bizzare chain of events had France leave the Allies and join the Comintern. I had enough DIP, USA's war entry was around 60%, but I got the message "country cannot join your alliance"? Is this a bug? or a hard-wired Ban?

USA can only engage in diplomacy at WE >80 or 90% IIRC...

thanks on the USA question, what about the kicking out Alliance members?

I'm afraid that's the game engine... You can't kick out other nations.
