I've been away for a while. How is the situation now and how you think it should be?

I most of the time have accepted ally call to arms. I just don't contribute to war at all! I don't send troops, give battles, siege, nothing! So
it is just nominal acceptance but my ally is "just fine" about it. Is it still so?
Should contribution% matter? It is calculated anyway so why don't use it.

Contributing nothing should generate truce-breaker attribute as it is introduced now in the patch.

It does, there is an event that comes up when the AI detects you have no troops sieging or doing battle.

They get angry and break the alliance. This was introduced in Conclave.

There might be more than once instance where the AI fails to recognize that you aren't helping though.
