As I said previously, just because the new project is being worked on doesn't mean that things will grind to a halt as far as Russia is concerned! This update is basically a compatability mod for HOI2 patch 1.3. While the last version of 'All the Russias' worked with the patch, not all of the new AI events loaded up, as they weren't included in the .eug file - and now they are. Also included are:


SETUP CHANGES
* Poland and Ukraine now have a normal alliance, instead of being Comintern (I decided that modding the .csv files to change the name would be a bit excessive!)
* Minor states now have Ministers changed to reflect ruling ideology where possible (Turkestan now also gets vanilla UZB & TAJ Fascist ministers and Mongolian ministers all turned fascist to give the Baron some choice...)
* Altered Russian AI so it now should defend a bit better against Finland
* Poland gets some more land doctrine and infantry techs at startup, tech team skills are improved a bit, and troops are now of higher quality/strength.

EVENT CHANGES/FIXES
* AI Russia loads up slightly modified versions of all of the Soviet Union's 1.3 AI files
* Russia now gets proper cores in Romania Faith & Nation and Transamur plebicite events
* Event fires for Russia to inherit USSR if Soviets lose most major cities (should prevent annexations of USSR by intervening powers!)
* Russian capital moves to Novosibirsk automatically when Soviet Union is created (prevents Russian army being starved of supplies if capital is in Moscow) - will be restored to Moscow if Russia wins.
* Added an event which will allow Russia to reincorporate an autonomous Siberia after a few years
* Fixed 'Proclamation of Tsar Vladimir I' event, so an expansionist Tsarist Russia will get its proper cores (previously only fired for Realpolitik... :mad: )
* Added an event giving more resources to Poland, so it can now actually use all its extra IC!

COSMETIC CHANGES
* Russian & Ukrainian navies and ships no longer have Commie names
* New picture for Kyril Romanov & real picture of Semenov found
* Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia now finally have descriptions, and there's a modified one for Mongolia (which now replaces Ukraine in the startup selection screen)

So, basically a few extra cosmetic and bug-fixing changes, and Poland's been beefed up a bit as well. However, as the German AI seems to have been significantly improved in 1.3, all these seem to be made a bit redundant, and Poland is still doomed! However, having said this, I've also seen the (previously unthinkable!) situation of the Kazakh Republic actually beating and annexing Turkestan under this setup, so there is definitely more to look into on the new AI fronts!

The next update will probably be an AI one - I'm making changes here anyway for Kaiserreich, so these will be carried over (as well as lots of new Russian events and setup changes, eg. finally Panslavism...). I'm also feeling the need to cut down on some of the superfluous alliance-forming/declaration of war events, and replacing them with AI based ones.

Also, remember to keep the thread alive by posting any weird things you see here, and suggest any improvements!

And, again ( :) ), if anyone actually wants to add any ministers, leaders, events or anything like that, please post it here and these too will find their way into future versions!

You have represented most of the nationalities in the region of Eastern Europe and the Caucasus, but have not you forgotten the Byelorussians. I am sure, if there was a revolution of any kind the Byelorussians would also want to be free.

Of course some Byelorussians would have wanted independence, and there was briefly a Byelorussian National Republic under German patronage after Brest-Litovsk. But the Byelorussian national or independence movement was not as strong or profilic at this period as that in the other new countries. So, when faced with foreign intervention, and the desire of the Polish government for a strong north-western border with Russia, Belarus was incorporated into Poland.

But, if you keep playing, one of the options in the 'Faith and Nation' events is for Russia to help Byelorussian seperatists form an independant state, and the Germans get the opportunity to set up an puppet Belarus after they beat Poland.

1) No idea about the USA gearing up for war events! I haven't made any changes to this, so its either included in the vanilla events, so something in the 'All the Russias' files triggers it off!
2) Yes, there should! These are all vanilla events which fire for newly independant states to give them a fighting chance. I didn't change them when I started the mod, because they seemed necessary, but I'm changing the starting IC and offscreen resources for the new states for Kaiserreich, so these changes will be carried over to 'All the Russias' once they're done!

One of the conditions is Moscow is not in Soviet control. The Soviets don't exist yet in this mod so I'm presuming that could be it.

Also Germany losing Berlin early to the Poles might trigger this. It might be something you want to revise or leave as it is.

And one new- Vladivostok (1941), when captured by russian forces of Wrangel, not become a russian national province...

:rolleyes: Ah, that would do it - May change this in the future - although it would mean including a seperate USA events file, which may be a bit excessive!

If you're referring to the "Казаки" in the Kazakh propaganda poster, this is not something I did, but is something Paradox included in 1.3, where all the Russian revolter states got new posters.

If you're referring to the events, again, the territories which the Kazakh Republic has in 'All the Russias' were not ethnically homogenous, being home to ethnic Russian settlers and Cossack garrisons, as well as the Kazakhs - so this diversity is reflected in 'the peoples of the Kazakh Republic' event, as something which must be dealt with by the government.

With the last one, did you get Vladivostok via an event, or by declaring war on Transamur?

yeah that will be why, happens every time in january 1936.

But heck I like it. Without a strong Socialist power in Russia, why would America not benefit in some way (even with a isolationist stance). So I have no problem in keeping it as is.

The other thing is that first gearing bonus isn't that huge and most of the time when I play the USA I get it before the historical hostilities begin and if not, just after Paris falls. I think it's only a 15% reduction to the peactime modifier but I may be mistaken.

There are several things that can cause this and regardless, the USA probably isn't going to get involved too much in this mod until Japan declares war anyways.

If you're referring to the events, again, the territories which the Kazakh Republic has in 'All the Russias' were not ethnically homogenous, being home to ethnic Russian settlers and Cossack garrisons, as well as the Kazakhs - so this diversity is reflected in 'the peoples of the Kazakh Republic' event, as something which must be dealt with by the government.

I had a event, which suggested me to help China in war with Japan. I agree, and then annex Manchuko and Transamur. Then i had an event of capture of Vladivostok. I had all provinces of Transamur as national, but without Vladivostok. That is not good) And what about Sakhalin and other islands (Komandirskie, Kamchatskie)?

I has another problem) Don-Kuban territories is not my national) When Poland attacked Germany, Kuban declared war on Polan and Ukrain. Poland occupied and anexed Kuban. Maybe event should take place, but has not happened.

I have small offer. Russia if in it it is established autcratical regime of Wrangel, should have territorial claims for a province Dalnij (Dalyan), the Part of Manchuria and should прозойти event about creation of the Korean republic, and as returning of some islands of the Japanese sea. Also the situation with Armenia not is not clear to me was any events with е nationalization.

The offer concerning Germany with Poland. The matter is that Poland actually completely occupies Germany and on the contrary, can better create event on which both modes in any case are kept, but winner will receive the certain territories in case of a victory. Germany a way to Kennigsberg and some more the Polish territories plus independence of Ukraine, And Poland in turn will receive Stettin, Breslau and there can be still something, plus dependence on it of the Baltic states. It would be interesting. Or for example broken away Bavaria. If to the author there will be not a laziness =).

Hmmmm finally i've finished reading most of the 8 pages of posts for this mod, and it sounds great, I've got a question though about does this work with 1.3 hotfix i read some stuff about moddirs or w/e but i dunno what that is and maybe since then the problem has been resolved. Also given the timeline Poland should be very much more than a match for Germany in 1939, not saying i think it should be easy for Poland but it should put up a hella of a better fight than it did in real life, also in regards to Ukraine's politicians i believe it should Petlura or one of his possible succesors at Ukraine's Helm.

I will go play this mod see how it plays, and also i'll check out Saramtia's other Mod based on this one. :eek:
