Hmmm...ran into a couple bugs, but I'm unsure if they're already mentioned (or, in one case, if it's even a bug).

1. In the Orthodoxy event chain where you lay claim to Romania but don't declare war, there is no claim on Ploesti, leaving a rather annoying hole in the middle of the country. Related to this, I'm curious why the events where you announce protection of the orthodoxy makes you give a guarantee of independence to a country when it's busily trying to suppress whichever Faith and Nation auxillary is going too far.
2. A few leaders seem to be doubled up, but I'm not sure if this isn't a problem on my end, since it didn't seem to be in the scenario start, but after playing for a while. Just a heads-up, in case it didn't show up on Jan 1936 due to startdates.
3. Not sure if this is WAD, but in the Transamur Plebisite, a military invasion or diplomatic warning gives you claims where mass public approval in a successful annexation plebicite doesn't seem to (if you annex the nation, regardless of whether you have Kolchak dance the hemp fandango or become PM of all Russia, for that matter).
4. A minor shift between 0.2 and 0.3, but Turkestan doesn't seem to be going after Persia, Afghanistan, or Sinkiang anymore (even though there are claims, it's just sitting tight after absorbing the Kazakhs). Just a comment, rather than a bug comment.

Part one is definitely a bug and I'll fix this! There are probably many more gaps in claims like this, so keep looking!

Part 2: This is WAD - I've taken guaranteeing independence not to mean that you have good relations with the country, but that you've claimed the national territory as part of your sphere of influence. In this case, the Orthodox Russia isn't going to take very kindly to any more unbelievers marching in and oppressing the faithful!

Very very possible, as I havn't checked for anything like this very thoroughly (eg; I've just removed Kolchak from most of the Russia files!). Could you tell me which leaders, and where they are?

Yes, this is the result of me reworking the intervention events for Sinkiang, Perisa and Afghanistan. Beforehand they'd invariably intervene in the war and get themselves annexed in a couple of weeks - now they don't, and so survive for a little longer! Turkestan should attack them some time after Britain goes to war, but this is quite late in the game so hasn't been tested much!

Bugs

Russia dont have a Land doctrines, territorical claims. I think, That East Russia (onDalniy Vostok) must have claims on all-Russia territory, as a first trans-continental Russia (Kerensky). Russian claims: ukraine, poland (or half of poland), kaukas, kazakstan, turkmeniya, far-east. "United and non-separated" slogan of contr-revolutioners.

Sry i lied, Question #2, whats up with the russian land doc? apparently they cant research into any stream?!?!? granted i havent played very far into, but are they going to be unlocked by events or...?

In revolution, the events that couse war with russia folow up in a very high rate. In the normal one it takes much longer.

And don't worry about your land doctrines, just play on, they will come by event.

In this particular order I have installed ATR 0.3:

Deleted the Hearts of Iron 2 folder
Made sure that everything is actually completely gone
Installed Hearts of Iron 2
Patched it to 1.3a
Unzipped the 0.3 scenario file and put everything in the HoI2 folder
Unzipped the two music packs and put all that in the HoI2/music folder
Unzipped the loading screen and put that in its correct place

I've done this 4 times now! Once without the loading screen, once without the music, once without patching to 1.3a. It still DOES NOT work!

maybe a corrupted download. Try downloading the 0.3 scenario files again.

I haven't tested it with the 1.3 hotfix yet, but I don't think this introduces anything which would make it crash.

One thing that you could check is that you're actually selecting 'ignore' on the 'scenario has errors' popup, rather than 'abort' or 'retry' - either of those will cause a CTD!

And this is probably a very good time to ask - please please please does anyone have any ideas of how to quickly check all the .inc files to find out what's causing this (frankly bloody irritating!) message?

Yep, I hit Ignore, which causes a CTD.

Well, I've done half the map for my Red Wave mod, completely empty without any armies or anything. And I got a scenario error once, just like yours. The problem was that I had made a typo.

Tried redownloading it TWICE, and also tried to reinstall HoI2 twice... I'm running out of ideas here :(

Well, I've done half the map for my Red Wave mod, completely empty without any armies or anything. And I got a scenario error once, just like yours. The problem was that I had made a typo.

Tried redownloading it TWICE, and also tried to reinstall HoI2 twice... I'm running out of ideas here :(

Hmmm, I've just downloaded the 1.3 hotfix and the 0.3 scenario files from the first page to test them, and they all load up fine together on my installation - :( :-very very strange....

The only other thing I can think of is if you make a clean install of HOI2 and use JSGME utility (link a bit higher up in the thread...) so you don't permanently overwrite all of the original files.

Otherwise, I've got proper internet access for the next few days, so may be able to get out a very quick 1.3 compatability/bug-fixing patch by Sunday. With any luck that'll work better!

Ah yes - where exactly was the typo in your Red Wave scenario files that was causing the error? And what was it?

Yes, this may actually be an idea, now that the mod has grown to be quite interventionist with the basic files…

However, Moddirs and self-extraction utilities tend to annoy me a bit when I’m playing other mods – I’m never sure exactly what they’re doing! So, it may be better if you use it with the JSGME utility – this basically automates backing up and copying files for mods in a few seconds, and is very very simple to use. I’ve put a link and basic instructions for this in the first post.

Anyway, on top of this, things have now moved a bit beyond Russia with the modding! There is now a post outlining my continuation project ‘Kaiserreich – Legacy of the Weltkrieg’ – go check and post!

Again, don’t worry, this doesn’t mean that ‘All the Russias’ is dead – work will continue be done fixing bugs that people track down, and any changes/improvements to Russia in the Kaiserreich setup will be transferred to future versions. This also means that you’ll see som Pan-Slavism and liberation of Constantinople events, as they’re (much!) more likely in the alternate timeline than the All the Russias one…

That is too radical of a departure from history for my taste ;) The question is, does HoI2 have a working moddir function? Never tried anything other than vanilla (never played Vicky/EU2 vanilla, interestingly enough).

I think I spelt trade "traed"... Can't remember exactly.

Yup, that's what I use for RedWave. All the files in the ModDir will temporarily run "over" the vanilla files when you create a shortcut to HoI2.exe with the parameter -"modName" (Without the "")

I already made this mod in a mod-dir format for my own use. It wokred fine as far as I could tell and the only thing I had to chage was the line about the location of the new events. Oher then that all I did was create a new folder named "mod-russia" and unzipped to that new folder.
