All conditions that prevent hostile actions?

I have a stupid question. Does anyone have a list of all conditions that prevent a liege from taking hostile actions against a vassal?

I'm asking, because I have a vassal (a cousin) that I cannot take any hostile action against. He's a Germanic pagan, and I'm Sunni. I can't imprison or revoke titles.

I don't owe him a favor. I'm not in a regency. The council is not voting (and he is not on the council anyway). He's not in hiding. I can't think of anything else that might apply, but clearly I'm missing something.

Do you have a truce?

If he is a faction or a faction leader about to present an ultimatum, he will also be temporarily immune.

If its neither of these check your save if non-ironman. Look for his character id and search for diplomatic_immunity. If that is there then delete it and you should be able to resume your "hostile action".

No, there is no truce (it's been 15 years of immunity at this point anyway). And he's not presenting an ultimatum. He was in prison from losing a faction war awhile back, but he escaped. I wonder if that has caused something buggy to happen.

The irony (heh) is that this is one of my few iron man games. I'm using ironman to prove a point to a friend of mine, and then something weird like this happens. I've never had this problem in a regular game before. :shrugs:

I'll just assassinate him. The rest of my dynasty hates me anyway, so even if I'm caught, it's not a big deal.
