As for the topic, I think far future settings will write down stuff in various made-up alphabets at once and players will be able to decode them using their brain enhancements.
Yeah I am pretty damn transhumanist.

i can imagine some races like predators or sangheili that have 4 jaw mandibles rather than 2 jaws would be much more prone to names starting with K, C, F, and U and be unable to correctly pronounce P sounds.
