Especially in the end-game, it is impossible to watch all of your armies, especially small sieging stacks. How annoying it is when the enemy's main stack wipes your siege stack because you just couldn't even think that the enemy would attack there! This is just annoying. There should be an alert when an army is about to be attacked, so that you can retreat your army safely before it gets stackwiped for no reason.

Similarly to your suggestion, I have a pop-up option for when my armies get attacked that pauses my game because of this, but annoyingly, this only works for non-sieges, because sieges turn me into the attacker (because of mechanics) which prevents the pop-up for firing. No, turning on pop-ups for when I engage armies is not the solution (and sounds annoying AF). I want the "pop-up when attacked" option to work even when you get attacked while sieging.
