seems about right, but Vladivostok would be expected, ill just force my Army Corps of Engineers to build roads ahead of my tanks lol

Taking years to do so, while being constantly attacked by partisans, in appalling conditions.

And vice versa for Kamchatka!

Little story..... When I was a kid, my grandfather loved to play board games of strategy. Mostly chess, but when the family was together, it was either Risk or Scrabble. Well when playing Risk, my grandfather would load up on Kamchatka. It was the only of two pieces of land he would take. And try as we might we could never take Kamchatka. He would hold that piece of land all game regardless of anything else that was happening. Coincidently, he won about 80% of the games, maybe because we were too concerned with Kamchatka.(That was our Stalingrad maybe)

But anyway he has since passed away, his birthday is the 5th of Dec, and you just made me think of some awesome memories. Happy holidays!

what partisans? isn't kamtchatka nearly uninhabited?

Nearly, but not totally. And some forces would arrive from other areas to hamper your progress - you are at war, remember.

We've seen the Alaskan coast and Aleutians in the map video (around 24m30 and 25m30+). The Aleutians stretch pretty close to Russia, so that issue seems addressed.
Mainland Alaska seems cut-off so I expect to see Anchorage and Juneau, but Fairbanks is doubtful.

Good luck marching an army down the Yukon in the 1940s, especially if it turns to winter.
It would probably be easier in winter actually. It's mostly marshlands, winter has the advantage of freezing the ground and the tons of mosquitos and other bugs that are a literal pain. Not that marching an army in that territory is a good idea in the first place.

I agree. Industry, infrastructure, all need more attention. History outside the direct fighting should also be represented.
