Hey there, I´m actually a bit confused.
When starting a new game I looked for Akechi (1551) but couldn´t find 'em.
Then I went to the saved games tab and looked if Akechi was there and therefore me remembering it wrong. ... Nothing.
Looked back at Rise of Oda Nobunaga and THEN : Akechi was there! But Hojo was not anymore.

Meaning: When starting the game new and selecting a year Hojo is there. When loading a save meanwhile on the campaign map Hojo disappears and all that land suddenly belongs to Akechi. (When going to 1551 again)

So... this is a big, goddamn bug, right? :eek:

[ And: How to play as Akechi/Hojo when starting from 1467 ? Couldn´t seem to find any character of that family ;_; Did they only appear later on? ]

I don't know the answer to your question, but Hojo most certainly did not appear later on. They were the clan responsible for organizing the defense of Japan from the Mongols.

The late Hojo clan didn't exist in 1467, but Hojo Soun (named Ise Shinkuro) served Ashikaga Yoshimasa.

Actually, there were two hojo families. One of the kamakura period ending in 1333 and the later hojo who originally were named ise. That is why you do not find them in 1467. They were called ise. They changed their name to consolidate their power in the kanto region.

The Akechi clan is a vassal of Saito. Can't remember their province right now, but it's on the Oda-Saito border in the 1551 start date. In the earlier one, I don't think Akechi own any land.

Now, it is possible for a clan to inherit another clan's provinces, though VERY unlikely. Just gotta play the marriages right and have a lot of luck on your side. :)

Ah thanks, so that´s why I couldn´t find him.
Notable is the fact that he is currently exchanged as a hostage with the rokkaku clan :3

@Hailionaona
Haaa, thanks. So there Akechi Mitsuhide is :_D
But.. well... So there is Akechi Mitsuhide. But then again, there already is the Akechi clan when this Hojo/Akechi bug appears >_< ... Bwhaha, maybe the game will crash? Or I get another Akechi-name? We will see tomorrow! *_*

So, if going with Ise on rampage, are they going to name themselves Hojo at some time span or will they stay with Ise?
