Sorry for starting a new thread just to address this issue, but since I could find no more suitable and pre-existing thread to plunk the question in ...

How the heck do I start the AJFIFU? There's no executable in any of the versions, and it doesn't show up as an available scenario option under eu2.exe.

INSTALLATION To install, just extract the zipfile in your EU2 directory. All files are held in a folder called AJFIFU and so will not overwrite any files. I do not have an installation program so you will have to create your own shortcut on the desktop. This should be no problem. If you have any other moddir scenario already on your desktop just copy and paste back on desktop and rename it AJFIFU, enter properties and change 'target field' to "C:\Program Files\Paradox Entertainment\Europa Universalis 2\EU2.exe" C:\Program Files\Paradox Entertainment\Europa Universalis 2\AJFIFU or wherever your EU2 folder is located.

I do not have an installation program so you will have to create your own shortcut on the desktop.

After making a replica of an Eu2 shortcut on the desktop (ideally a duplicate of someone elses mod, like AGCEEP), you go into the shortcuts 'properties' tab.

there should be an entry called 'target field' which will have something like this...
"C:\Program Files\Paradox Entertainment\Europa Universalis 2\EU2.exe"

change it so it has this...

"C:\Program Files\Paradox Entertainment\Europa Universalis 2\EU2.exe"C:\Program Files\Paradox Entertainment\Europa Universalis 2\AJFIFU (the yellow bit is the important bit - but all is needed.) Also please note the quotation marks.

rename the shortcut to AJFIFU, IFU whatever.
To run the game you double click on the shortcut.
There is no .exe file, the shortcut tells the game to use the ORDINARY vanilla Paradox exe file but to read all game files from the AJFIFU folder first (before the others).

Therefore the unlimited time patch, has to modify your vanilla Paradox exe file. (this is no problem, and ordinary vanilla games work just as well with the modified patch, but if you are worried make a second install for this scenario)
