my problem with aircraft in hoi2 was that it required way too much micro. 5 click min to attack a province.. and after the misson was over ya had to do it again. to make matters worse ya had a max of 4 aircraft units per army ya coulnd't go anymore meaning if you wnated a huge aircraft horde ya just couldn't. therefor creating even more micro.

clicks need to be reduced as well a automate aicraft would be useful

Read the DD on missions. You can now set a mission time to infinity. And new mission - general bombardement will lower logostics, IC and province instalations so it will be used to keep the enemy on zero level.

I agree in the original aircraft were more work than they were worth, moving them from air base to airbase making sure that they were attacking the little zones with enemies, it was a thousand times better than it was in the original game though.

actually you could mod hoi2 by just changing one value in a file to have bigger stacks then 4. Most mp games were played with 8, and i even played a game where we used 24 planes units.

One Airmission I was always missing was "Support corps" to let the group of airwings fly supporting operations to help out the corps selected wherever it moved. At least one fighter and it intercepts enemy bombers, at least one bomber and it assists all land battles and bombs retreating enemies after battles are won.

Oh and in the same fashion linking them to fleets with a similar "Support fleet" mission. Even more awesome if the missions could handle rebasing to airfields when needed automatically to get in range too.

Probably somewhat complex to fix but would help greatly with micromanagement.

I realized in vanilla HoI2 that as germany I could completely ignore the enemy and my own air forces (TAC, CAS) and still steam-roller the French in 1939. Which shouldn't happen. So I hope this mod makes a/c relevant and essential to warfare. Like it shouldn't be possible to make an offensive without air support and at least air parity.
