In the last www i thought that air combat where a little bit messy. Like the interface. And do aa on the ground effect much or are fighters the most effective tool against other planes?

State-AA only works against planes attacking them, since they would otherwise be out of effecive range if they just traveled through the area.
Fighters are the best tool against other planes and ground aa is basicly the last defenseline if everything else failed. Even if your fighters dont manage to shoot down the enemy bombers, they will still be less effective in their mission since they were distrupted. Air Superiority is also important, because it also affects the combat capability of your ground troops, not only your airforce.
By the looks of part 4 of WWW it seemed a bit messy to restation planes, i have to agree. It actually looked much easier to simply delete airwings and recreate them at the target airfield, which they in some cases actually did during the stream.
I dont nessesarily think that the air combat itself is much of an problem but could be polished a bit aswell. Overall, you simply select the airzone and assign the squadrons in range to it and give them missions. Its an big improvement over HoI III in my oppinion.
In the end i dont really want to make too much assumptions, since we didnt play the game yet, of course. Overall, they play at an rather rapid speed for an multiplayer session without pausing.
