AI vassals of human players receive bonuses as though difficulty were one level lower.

How can I mod this so that AI vassals of the player receive no bonuses? I think taxes on vassal resources bring in far too much (I don't even need jobs to produce basic resources or consumer goods & alloys) and this is a very large part of that if you play on admiral or grand admiral. Thanks in advance.

Might be easier to mod vassal contracts to cap lower than 75% so you get less even if they continue to make more with their AI bonus.

Not exactly what you're asking, but I think the effect might be in the right direction for you.

If you know what difficulty you want to play on, just mod the one below to give no bonuses ... be warned though that any vassal you will have will immediately collapse just by virtue of losing the difficulty bonus.

Nice thinking. That didn't occur to me.

The other problem would be for scaling difficulty. I've been using it more since they added the mid-game option.

Makes sense that they would collapse overnight going from +75% resources to suddenly no bonuses.
