currently, the AI seems to be really really ineffective at annexing small antions with allies. because they can't get 100% warscore, they cannot annex them. they sit on their province for a few years.... thne peace out for war reparations and the like.

this results ina lot of weird behavior. for example, in my current bengal game, the ottomans have tried over 10 times to conquer constantinople. but they can't. why? venice locked them off from serbia, noone will give them access, but they are allied with the byzantines. so they cannot take constantinople. or more closer to where i play, ava has tried over and over again to conquer arakan. but i won't give them access and so jaunpur protects them even though they cannot send a single soldier there just by existing.

while the new WS mechanic is pretty good(no rushing a small warleader to avoid their alrger allies that might need a while) the AI cannot handle it. resulting in wierd stuff like byzantium surviving until really late. it can be abused too - play an OPM in a dommed situation. ally someone your enemies cannot reach(say, gelre allying leinster - burgundy is not gonna go there anytime soon). youa re now "safe" for several decades. until you lose that alliance or the AI starts using boats. bonus points if you ally someone they are never going to be able to reach because they people surrounding them won;t give them access(think liege after the burgundian inheritance).

can this please get at least somewhat fixed? while slowing the stomping out of all the OPM's is a good change, it starts to become wierd if the AI goes to war over and over again and then peaces out for war reperations.
