I thought this was supposed to be fixed in 1.05, but I don't see it in the readme.txt. Anyway the AI countries still fall asleep sometimes... I had one war where the enemy just simply wouldn't build anything new; this changed after I reloaded. In another case, after reloading a month later I get a flood of messages where my merchants get bumped out of CoTs (far more than normal) because the AI woke up and started sending merchants.

I suppose this *could* be a case of the "slush fund" among AI countries, where before some countries couldn't get access to it and upon reload the weights are different and some AI countries can now get money and thus starts doing things. But I don't think so, since I doubt these countries had maxed themselves out on loans; it seems more likely that the AI is genuinely sleeping.

If it helps, I generally play on the fastest setting.

Some forms of it were fixed in 1.05, for instance:

- Events will now be checked during the entire interval even if the country targetted does not exist at the first check. (this meant they would be checked at load time and you'd get a bunch of events happening)

But the others you mention are all likely to have separate causes and wil have to be fixed one at a time. If there is any way you can set up a situation to duplicate them, or show them from saves you can send in ...

It can't be shown in saves because the AIs all wake back up afterwards.

Your internal people who play the game (they do play the game, right? :)) must have seen this. A good way to reproduce it is just to play normally, and then in a given war you notice you're kicking another country's ass and they aren't building any more armies to stop you. Wait a bit to confirm their "sleeping", then save, and then reload. As soon as you reload, they'll start building again.

And a month later you'll see some of your merchants bumped out of CoTs.

I was thinking of where you said " In another case, after reloading a month later I get a flood of messages", which I took to mean you had a save where you could load it, do another save and a reload a month later and see the problem.

>Your internal people who play the game (they do play the game, right? ) must have seen this.

If you mean we betas, certainly we play the game. However the people who need to have these issues decisively demonstrated to them rarely have time to play. If we can short-cut it and show them it in a few minutes we raise the chance of it getting addresssed and fixed enormously.
