Hey there;

To put it bluntly: Is the AI still weaksauce since, lets say, 6 months ago ? Are there any new mods to fix / improve it ? Or any plans to do so ?

Please, don't take offense on these questions, they are based upon my own perception of the game. I'm making this thread because I haven't been able to find a meaningful answer on the relatively new threads I've seen.

The AI got exceptionally great at sniping your transport ships by running dozens of fleets consisting of single corvettes or destroyers.

But past that, the enemy empire AI, wartime AI and sector AI are still rather 'simple'.

That said, never stopped me from having fun with my games.

I just wish the AI could be a challanage without playing on unfair and facing a 4k fleet by time you have a 1k fleet (and thats with me diverting resources to corvs instead of colony ships )

Then keep wishing, AI programmers are not wizards and cannot make a magical "fair" challenging AI. Furthermore unless you're playing about Normal it's absolutely you're fault that they have a stronger fleet than you, Normal AI do not have any bonuses.
