I'm going to guess that the OP didn't realize v1.6 made it so that defensive CTA bypass truces and don't count as "truce breaks".
I don't mind the AI Naval Attrition cheat.
I wish they could figure out how to program the AI to deal with attrition, but it's better that they actually have a navy than letting the AI sail around with 35% boats all the time.
Since they can't figure out how to make the AI smarter about it, the zero attrition mechanic works for me.
Can the current priority be naval AI? It seems like a popular choice around the forums for improvement.![]()
It's not that we can't figure it out, it's that it'd require a lot of work and testing, and there are other, higher priority areas that need work. I plan to get to it eventually.
I'd appreciate it if they didn't maintain long-term blockades in provinces far away from their supply range though.
It's a slim chance but out of curiosity, what are these higher priority areas currently?
Of course they break the truce but you or whoever came up with this decided that breaking a truce for a defensive CTA gives no penalty.
