I found sometimes AI is not willing to answer a call to arm even if positive modifiers are +90 and negative modifiers are 50 something.
My ally was friendly +200 relations. There is no truce/allianxce between the ally and the target. My ally was not in debt.

Yes, this is an offensive war. It was shown as 'YES' in the tooltip of automatically call ally. But I didn't want to lose the war leader to Austria. So I didn't check and tried to call all other allies but Austria. This is very strange. They changed their willingness just in a day!!

For one, you won't lose warleader in an offensive war, except if you're attacking your coalition target, so you don't need to worry about that.

As for the problem at hand, did the warleader on their side change? That's the most likely reason for them suddenly not wanting to join anymore.

I didn't know how warleader changes exactly. Thank you for the information.

By the way, the target remains the war leader. My ally's modifiers are positive in total. But the willingness is shown as red cross so they would decline even if they evaluate it as positive. I am sorry for no screenshot. It was ironman game but I could not take it at the moment.

I don't have the rules in mind, but as the human player, it is easier to have the leadership in wars. I believe you don't loose it in offensive wars, but AI might, or something. I also had the same issue at times btw; not sure what could cause it though.
