So in my last game, I purposely delayed researching jump drives because I find that the Unbidden are a little too attracted to it and when they invade, I lose any chance of a War in Heaven. (BTW, can wars in heaven occur after a crisis event has ended if one of the Awakened empires awoke for the sole purpose of fighting the crisis?) So I'm waiting for a 2nd FE to awaken to trigger a war in heaven, but an AI revolt starts instead. I'm thinking, hey, I haven't seen one of these since they fixed the bug where the robots were killing themselves so let's see how it plays out.

Well, a few decades pass and nothing seems to be happening in the home system of the AI uprising. In fact after awhile another empire seems to have quashed the last remnants of the AI. I can see the AI home world, a 25 tile tomb world with a unique city scape and some amazing tiles for energy and mineral production but the world is empty. They never expanded, they never built any ships and robots on other planets never revolted as far as I can tell.

Not sure what's going on here but it certainly doesn't feel right. Now granted I'm running many, many mods in my game, 29 to be exact, so you can never be sure, but the only mod I have that deals with a crisis event is the one that allows multiple crisis to happen in a single game. I've only ever had two AI uprisings in the many games I've played but they both didn't work as intended. Anyone have the AI revolt post 1.4.1 have any thoughts on this?

I never did get my war in heaven because of course a 2nd FE awoke to deal with the AI, not that they needed to, and now both awakened empires are marching across the galaxy conquering the lesser races left and right, but they're not fighting each other. Bummer.

TL;DR: Is the AI rebellion still messed up?

I've never seen a proper AI rebellion before; they've all been bugged.

I forced one to happen in my own empire, which worked but it was quite weak and I ended it easily.

The second time the AI purged all synths & robots on planets it owned, so it just disappeared on its own.

The most recent time, the rebellion took a few worlds in the initial uprising and just sat there doing nothing. They have no fleets either. On some planets they have organic pops, on others, none. I also can't communicate with the AI consciousness, they're labelled as 'sin aliens' or whatever.

The AI for the crises has never worked properly, including the swarm which just sits there half the time and just bombards planets forever without infesting a single one.
Only the Unbidden seem to work correctly most of the time.

I don't expect the AI for the crises to ever be fixed, I just reload constantly in the hope it will work eventually, which it does, sometimes.

Dont think anybody has gotten the AI crisis to work, which is such a shame. One of the best things I read about Stellaris before release was the end game crisis, they seemed like a great way to mix up the end game. That only one works is just disgraceful ! So many previews talked about these and the Devs went on and on about them, and then they dont work !

So yes the AI rebellion will never work.
