327h, and I haven't seen a single AI rebellion. Unbidden/Swarm, no problem. Even when using materialist with synth everywhere. I tend to play "nice", so my robots are not terribly unhappy, but the event is supposed to trigger based on a galactic sized check, and not just the player.
I had the rogue synth chain a lot of time, but I always ended with the swarm or the unbidden.

Well, unhappy synths is a requirement. Maybe your other empires are to nice or non droidy :p
It's supposed to take into account the rest of the galaxy. So if another civ have unhappy synth, it's supposed to trigger. The whole "synth rights" chains only prevent your empire from being affected by the rebellion, according to what the tooltip say, but doesn't prevent the rebellion altogether. At least, in theory.

In theory, but I dont think I have ever seen it fire outside players. To much pressures from spiritualist and FEs maybe..
in my game it was triggered by an AI empire. But after the machine consciousness died, no further events... no achievement... :(

did it spread to your empire ?
What event message do you get if it spreads? I only got one message saying the AI has rebelled, and that "After we deal with ____ (their parent empire), we will come for you" or something like that. Then the machine consciousness promptly died...

"AI Revolt Spreads" is the title iirc. Sounds like it never spread to you before dying out

Hello,

I've been trying to shoot for the Voight-Kampff achievement.

I've never done AI Rebellion before, but from what I've read, its supposed to happen within 3 years after denying them the AI Accord.

I did exactly that, though I did grant them normal citizenship rights. From what I've read, that shouldn't impact the crisis.

It's been maybe 30-40 years now and I still haven't received any new events that could be related to the AI rebellion. Any help?

Edit: If needed, I'm not above editing or checking my save file since I've already invested a lot of time on this, so pointers on what/where to look for in those ways will be appreciated.
I recently made a updated Steam Guide and updated the Wiki regarding the mater.

Happiness does not mater. Selected rights has some impact. But you can force it to trigger either way.

But yes, overall this crisis is incredibly hard to trigger. So hard, people started writing guides about it ;)
I think the numbers will need some work. Or the limit of one crisis per game must be released for Vanilla (mods can do that already).
