How are the British fighter (not CAS) aircraft? Are they based in airports on the British Isles, Malta, etc., or your airports in France?

Do they carry out missions in France? If they do, how many planes do they have assigned?

The naval AI does some pretty deep consideration of what it thinks is a 'good' ship - this is heavily economy driven. The recently rolled back issue causing the AI to cancel historical ships was caused by the AI deciding that these historical ships were not a good use of time and money.

Interesting, though it seems there's something wrong with the behind the scenes calculus if it can't recognize that a "1936" model is better than the "early" model. Actually, now that I think about it, it might not be the AI being unable to tell the difference between a 1936 model and an early model, but maybe the AI being unable to create a new model using the designer?

Their tank template is weird, with light and medium tanks in the same division.

Wouldn't say it's necessarily weird: when you're just starting to transition to mediums (assuming you have lights in use/production for some time already), this works quite fine: you get most of the extra armour for fraction of the cost, plus extend the use for "obsolete" light tanks. Of course, you'd have to balance out speed and such, but something along these lines can even serve as a go-to template for low-IC countries.

They've got a little over a thousand fighters, all of which are assigned to do air superiority and interception over the Western Balkans - they've done a naval invasion there and conquered Italian Albania.

I'm currently playing imperial germany and stole the Raj as a puppet from britain after beating them. For a year they only had 2 "template 5" divisions. I need them to at least to be able to hold off french indochina and the little french enclave in india, but they build nothing. I tagged over to them and they have the manpower, equipment, templates, everything they need. They simply went braindead and train nothing. Is this intended behavior? I wound up not calling them in because they are a liability.
