Hello all,
I haven't played Stellaris in over a year, but I did like how the game mechanics changed in 2.2 and decided to give it a try. I am finishing on my first game in 2.2 now, and I mostly like how game rules work.
However, thing that bothers me, is that even though I had to re-learn the game (and obviously did a lot of mistakes while building my empire) and I actually wasn't really expanding by war means (the only war i had was with endgame crisis faction) - right now every single AI player is "pathetic" in comparison to me in all 3 categories (science, economy, fleet). Except for Fallen Empires, which, as can be expected, are "Overwhelming".
Difficulty was normal (the one where AI plays it's best, but doesn't get any extra bonuses)
So.. what up with that ? I remember 1.x being more challenging to be honest. And I kinda dont see a point in finishing the game.
