This is propably a stupid question for all of the modding experts but I asked myself the following...there are usually several ai files for each country - when I enter a fixed building scheme for a nation (for example Japan), do I have to do this in all of the existing files for Japan or just in the 1936 file, if I am only playing the 36 scenario? In other words: when I start a 1936 scenario does the AI switch the AI files in 1939 / 1941 automatically or does it stick with the 1936 file to the end?

You can define them in the country file too. Check Republican Spain's 1938 scenario file:

Code:

country =
{ tag                    = SPA
  intrinsic_gov_type     = fascist
  [B]ai                     = "scw_spa.ai"[/B]
  capital                = 333 # burgos
  manpower               = 20
