Colonizers never was very good at managing their armies, but I got a feeling it has become worse with 1.23. As The Papal State I'm fighting my third war against France, and I have yet to see more than about 25k French troops in total during the last two wars (not counting single regiments which are wiped).
In my current war I'm up against France, Castille and Portugal (+Bohemia). The numbers were(and still are) pretty even, same with tech and ideas. 18 months or so into the war most of France is sieged down, and if I include the troops in my Brazilian colonies I have seen a grand total of 45k out of the 166k troops belonging to the three colonizers. A part from 3 battles against Bohemia no land battles have been fought. What are they doing?
Shouldn't colonizers prioritize defending their homelands instead of letting their troops relax in the sun? France is in a war with the Ottomans as well, but they don't seem to have done anything, except letting the Ottomans siege a few islands.
